Welcome to the website of the coordinated project “Techniques to improve the architecture of servers, applications and services (TECMASAS)”

This project is developed by the Advanced Communication and Computer Architecture (ACCA) consortium. ACCA conducts research and evaluation of parallel computer systems with the aim of achieving high-performance communication in interconnection networks and other related architectural techniques for reducing communication latency in multiprocessors, multicomputers, and networks of workstations.

Our aim is to carry out research of the highest quality, educate graduate university students and create the conditions necessary for the establishment of businesses based on the research we conducts. The group has succeeded in generating a vibrant research culture and is now operating as a highly effective research unit with growing international recognition.

ACCA group is formed by 4 research groups from 4 different universities. The original group was the Parallel Architectures Group (GAP) from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, led by Prof. José Duato and constituted in 1987. From then, other three groups were incorporated: the High Performance Architectures and Networks Research Group (RAAP) from Universidad Castilla La-Mancha, led by Prof. Francisco Jose Quiles and Prof. Antonio Garrido, the Parallel Computer Architecture Group (GACOP) from Universidad de Murcia, led by Prof. Jose Manuel Garcia and finally, the Network and Virtual Environments Group (GREV) from Universidad de Valencia, led by Prof. Juan Manuel Orduña. These 4 research groups comes working jointly from year 2001.

Recently, to expand the area of research, the Architecture and Computer Science Group (GATCOM) of the Miguel University (Hernández) has joined the Consortium.
